Talking Who thought China could be funny?

Whew, I sure wish we had more folks posting on this site. I don't usually download funny audiobooks, that's why I was so pleasantly surprised when I listened to Lost on Planet China by J. Maarten Troost. It is a story of the author's extended trip to China and is funny from the start to finish--laugh out loud funny. If you are curious about China and like to laugh, I strongly recommend this. Narration by Simon Vance is perfect, too.

I just quickly went over to audible to listen to a sample as I am always up for good Comedy. I am going to get this title. I love the dry humour!

To be honest had I not saw your recommendation I would have passed it by most likely.

    Thumbs up

I seldom laughed out loud when reading paper books (subject related maybe?) so was suprised to find I do with audio... So far my laugh out loud books have to be Janet Evanovich's series about Stephanie Plum (bounty hunter) ... her Grandma, and sidekick Lula crack me up "Cluck in a Bucket" LOL
Husband is now reading them, and I can hear him chuckling too

I actually laughed out loud once in The Passage, when they announced which movie they would be watching ........

Had a good laugh listening to "Unseen Academials" by Terry Pratchett, this was my first audio book of a discworld book. I'm now tempted to listen to some of my favourite reads from the series.
